Has the new "Deep Blue" changed your mind about the Nomos Lambda?

People were pretty divided about the original Lambda, but I really liked it...I was just disappointed they didn't offer it in steel and with blued hands (and that I can't afford one). However, they just updated it with this new blue dial:

    Thoughts?

Great question!! 100% meh on the first model, particularly the dial color and larger size. This blue one is gorgeous and totally changes the "look" for me (dunno why). Now Nomos needs to downsize it to fit my small wrist and it will be perfect for me . . .

Don't feel that this blue suits the style of watch.

I think that's stunning. Though at first I was confused about how Deep Blue's newest releases (Home) would impact my appreciation of Nomos. I can't think of two more disparate watch companies!

The super-thin hands and small markers mean this is an austere watch. The blue softens it just enough without compromising the simplicity. Could I live with the over-sized PR? I'm not sure...I'd need to see it in person. The movement is beautiful though. The rubies and the blued screws next to them remind me of flowers.

I like it, though I'd like to see live pics where the hands are not posing for the camera. I think legibility could be an issue with the large PR hand, and the 42mm size would likely swallow up my wrist. The movement is the star--gorgeous--however, it is handwound, which means the PR is merely an ornament. My daily winding would always leave me with adequate power. Don't get me wrong, though: I think the oversized PR looks fantastic and is an interesting execution. Didn't see this one on their website yet...what is the price?

As far as I know they haven't said, but it'll be white gold still, and the WG model from last year was $20,000, so I'd expect something near that. That's why it's so crucial, in my opinion, for them to make this in steel.

Oh, too bad. I mistakenly thought this one was stainless. I wonder if they will ever put that high-end movement in a SS case? Likely not, but will be interesting to see...

It was in a steel case for Wempe.
