    Have you ever...

Got out my Speedy Pro. Wound it after being stopped for several days. (Rotation) go to set the time and WOW 15 seconds slow from actual time. Strapped it on and can't believe the chances of that.

    Anyone else ever experienced this?

haha that is funny, never happened to me personally, but I'm sure it happens. what are the chances? 1440 minutes in a day, so 1 in 720 if it is a time only watch that you're right to the minute? pretty cool

You're forgetting the second hand in calculations. 15 seconds off! Couldn't believe it.

    Re: Have you ever...

I sometimes do this on purpose to avoid setting the time and to avoid unnecessary wear on the crown.

There are times when I look at my watch collection and see that a particular watch will be on time in minutes to hours. I'll take note of that time and put the watch on as soon as it is at the right time.

As an example, my Swiss Military CX 20,000 stopped at 2:30; 10 minutes from now. In ten minutes I'll give it a few self winding shakes and its good to go.
