    Help deciding on dress watch

I'm trying to decide on buying my first mechanical (dress)watch; I tried on a few Seikos but none of them really impressed me. Is it worth saving a bit to buy a Nomos Metro? I had it on at a dealer and fell in love immediately. I also really liked the Oris big crown pointer date, and it is of course more affordable then the Nomos. Are there any other beautiful dress watches under 2500 euros that I might have overlooked?
    Thanks!

You have overlooked probably 100+ watches. Take your time.

It would really help if you defined your interpretation of ‘dress watch’ as my interpretation is clearly not yours.

It’s a debate hat happens every time and it is probably best if you just give more detail about what you are looking for now

    Sinn 1736 is very nice.
A number of the Stowa lineup are good alternatives in terms of formal, simple designs like the Nomos. For less money but still good quality.

What style of design do you prefer? Nomos gets my vote. Also, consider Omega Aqua Terra.

Save for the Nomos but keep looking while you do. If you happen to see something else then great but if not the Nomos will still be there for you. Don’t rush the process.

I'd say that if you really like the Nomos, and it's only a big more saving, go for it.
They say the people with the most birthdays tend to live the longest.
