Help ID a Watch: Which brand has the crown at the "4" positon?

I am trying to identify a watch I keep seeing in the wild, without asking the person what kind it is. Gold bezel, white face, probably about 40mm or a bit smaller.

Anyways, the only DISTINCTIVE thing is that the crown is at or near the "4" position, a little lower down than they normally are. I figured that feature would be consistent throughout the brand, but I have no clue what brand it is.

    Ringing any bells?

    Thanks.

Seiko makes several divers with a 4 o'clock crown, but I haven't seen anything in gold.

How did it get so late so soon?

Crazy. But I'm not a fan of anything in gold.

I like the GP, too (though it's probably not a good idea to use gold on a "tool" watch )! But then, I'm a fan of vintages from the '40s to the '60s and yellow gold figures prominently in them ... wouldn't say no to a gold case done nicely.

Well this thread didn't take long to veer off topic

OP you "keep seeing it in the wild": on the same person? Or is it somehow wildly popular in Vancouver for some reason??? Perhaps you could politely ask the person. As you can see, a four o'clock crown is not unique.

BTW I'm not a gold guy either, but I like that GP...

    Cheers,

Many Accutrons of the 60's and 70's had the crown at 4.
