Question Help identifying the watch strap

    Hello guys!
This is my first post, so be gentle. :D
I have the watch in the photos, which i didn't wear for some time.
The strap is not in the best condition and I will like to replace it, but i don't know what kind of strap to search for, and where to find one. Any change of finding an original one?
Looks like the straps are secured in place using screws behind the main dial...
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Have a great day!

Hi, and welcome! As far as the strap goes I'm not sure about a new one, but you could try to remove it and apply some good leather conditioner,, also a nice watch by the way!!!

Certina, Sinn, GWC, and others made watches for Audi Design, this one is from GWC (German Watch Center). GWC was a trademark of the Pforzheim-based company of Otto F. Schneider known and registered as GWC Otto F. Schneider GmbH & Co. KG. Since GWC is no longer in business you should check with Sinn in Frankfurt; they made this very watch for some time.

The watch doesn't use springbars but uses a solid wire strap retainer that is secured into the case with two screws. When replacing the strap be sure to use blue threadlocker on each screw before reinstallation.

I have nothing to add after Bo's superb post on the watch history. As far as other straps there are many options. Nato, leather, or rubber, all a matter of preference. Welcome to the forum.
