    Help me choose a diver

So I'm torn between the Omega Seamaster Diver 300m and Tudor Pelagos, both in blue. Loving both but can't decide.. both are quality pieces with in-house movements and about the same price, Omega $450 more. Which one would you choose and why? My pluses below for each.

    Omega:
    Historic model
    Master chronometer movement with anti-magnetism
    5-year warranty
    Exhibition back

    Tudor:
Great parent brand behind it [Rolex]
    Lighter
    Titanium
    Cheaper price

I’ve had both (but the black Pelagos- not blue). The Seamaster is more “refined”, and thus more versatile - love the look of the twisted lugs. Does great duty dressed up or down. The Pelagos is much more tool/utilitarian. Loved the clasp on it, but couldn’t get over the snowflake hands. I kept the Seamaster and traded off the Pelagos.

Based on the photo alone the Omega. I've had both, but not the same iteration. I had the pelagos lhd and two generations earlier the Omega. The Omega is classy, thin, and sexy. The pelagos is toolish and bold. Never been a fan of the blue pelagos. I think the new blue Seamaster is the best of all the colors. The bracelet is squarer than the previous model and is much better as a result. The thing that ruins it for me is the helium escape valve. Tudor wins there.

Both great choices. Omega can be dressed up more easily. .

Agree with you, currently leaning towards Omega.

Omega will definitely feel more at home with a suit than the Tudor.

Have had a Tudor BBN and BB58. Currently own a Hulk and the blue 2018 SMPc pictured. Omega over Tudor all the way. Unlike what some have mentioned, I wouldn't ever say any dive watch works with a suit but the SMPc works great up to corporate casual (trousers/polo). The Black Bays do as well but feel the Pelagos not as much.

It's already been said, the Omega for a more refined look and Tudor for the tool watch win.

This version of the Omega really does it for me ....

This is the only skeleton hand SMP I’ve ever really loved. The updated size, chunkier crown and guards, and squared off bracelet give it a more masculine and even tool watch look. The Pelagos is of course the consumante tool watch and is extremely cool. Both are excellent choices. For my money though, it would be the new SMP.

Full disclosure though, I love omega and have owned many of them. I have yet to own a Tudor.

I like this Tudor more (though prefer the LHD pelagos)
I personally find the SMP too dressy n rather fussy & the helium escape 'crown' totally unnecessary and awkward looking.
