Help requested to identify old Sekonda diving watch

    Hi,

I've just found my old diving watch - a Sekonda quartz - water resistant 10 ATM and would like help identifying the model so that I can then find out what battery I need for it (I'd stupidly removed the old battery years ago and not kept it or made a note of its model)

There seems to be no marking on it to indicate what model it is and google searching hasn't helped plus I've done an image search here for sekonda but found nothing.

Can anyone recommend any websites with loads of watch photos on so that I can trawl it to try to identify mine?

    Many thanks,

    John

nb it also has the day and date on in english and in french I think (though sunday is shown as DOM when I'd expect it to be DIM ??) and it has a rotating external bezel coloured red & blue

Just take it into your local jeweler and I'm sure they'll be able to fit a battery for you. Sekonda is a watch distributor who sells mostly Asian pieces so it won't be that difficult.

If you take a picture of it, I might be able to tell you.

Edit: Uh, a picture of the movement I mean if you can/already have the back off.

Sounds like a post-Soviet piece so it'll probably have a generic Japanese movement. The battery won't be anything obscure.

Take it to a battery-change/watch-repair kiosk and they'll take care of it for you. Make sure they do a pressure test afterwards if that 10ATM water resistance matter to you.
