    hmm... which one which one...

Ok, so here's the situation guys, I've been looking at dress watches for a month already and I've narrowed my choices down to a few. I was hoping you guys can help me decide on one.

So... price does matter, but I'm thinking that the powermatic Tissot watches are worth the extra price compared to the quartz one. I'm wondering if the roman numerals would look better than the dashes. I also loved the Hugo Boss watch but I'm thinking that it might be crappy quality. The Roamer watch I have no idea about, but it looked good, so more info on that brand would be nice. Ok, so some help deciding would be much appreciated, and if you guys have better alternatives, please post them. Thanks!

Myself personally I really like the Roamer. Not sure what they are like now but Roamer of old made nice watches. I've had a couple over the years and enjoyed them. The Tissot Powermatic 80 is a great piece as well, it's been on my watch radar for some time now as a product study.

With all that said, be wary of these gold plated watches, unless they have a rating of 15 microns and up of thickness you'll be fine. Some gold plating these days is somewhat poor, shirt cuffs can wear it down in 6 months.

I'd recommend stainless steel in a high polish finish. Much more durable.

    Peace,
    Preston

The Seiko is very nice, I'll think about it. How about these type of watches, but more of the Swiss Made department?

No gold plating!! The finish will wear off sooner or later and you will be left wearing a "tacky" watch...
You don't want to be "that guy" with the tacky gold plated watch...Do you?

I like the first image that you have posted the most. The dial is a little less plain, without overdoing it
