? How to change brushed stainless deployment clasp to polished?

Looking to change a brushed stainless deployment clasp to a polished stainless steel. Is this possible?

The new custom band I want to buy from http://tedsustraps.3dcartstores.com/...trap_p_24.html (rubber dive band) for my new watch (schofield signalman) comes only in a brushed clasp where my watch is a polished. I want to polish out the brushed stainless finish to mirror like...

Thanks for any and all help!!

A buffing wheel and rouge, medium then fine. Good luck.

A buff will do it like chrome, but if doing it by hand or even on buff wheel, get a sheet of 1200 wet and dry and lay it flat on table on some news paper and use nice even strokes. As the wet and dry looses its abrasion it will get finer, the finer you go the better polish you will get. You could even go down to grocus paper. Then use some polish like brasso on a cloth to polish, a knife strop with rouge will work too. A dremel will do it too.

The right buffer and proper metal polish will do it, no need to sand or use brasso(aka weakest polish ever)

There was a recent thread on polishing a stainless steel watch (which I can't find) and this might be of use to you. Good luck.

What type of company would I hire locally? Watch specialist? Metal specialist?

If you don't fancy tackling it yourself have a decent watchmaker give you a price for it.

If it is a custom made strap why not order it to fit the Schofield buckle which is a perfect match ?
    Kind regards
