How do we alert mods to spammers/scammers????

I have been here a long time, but can't figure out how to alert mods. "ForeverABC" is a spammer/scammer. How do I alert mods of such BS in the future?

There is a 'report post' icon on the bottom left of each post

Thanks, Iceman. I feel a little silly for not knowing the procedure. Never needed to "report" a cornhole before. Thanks.

I always report a spamming thread/post as soon as I see one. More people should do that and we would have less of those. I wonder if there is a system to avoid having people who subscribe just to fill the forum with spam that will be surely deleted very soon. Just as an example, in other forums you don't have the power to open a new thread until you have posted a number of times in existing ones.

That you do - falcon too - and we appreciate it.

We've looked at prevention methods many many times but loads of first time posters are asking for advice on what to buy, what's a good deal etc and we don't want to discourage that. And tbh spam threads are easier to spot than spam posts.

We have looked at many solutions to this issue and the only one that works is if members report spam and we delete it manually and ban the offender. Everything else causes more inconvenience to legitimate new members. The spammers pre-register and post in existing threads so time and/or posting restrictions never work.
FYI Ernie recently deleted 11,000 banned Members with zero posts. That is 8 years worth of spammers. It also means that user name zxgti99ocv is now available again.

If it is a spammer, than simply reporting the post with the message "spammer" is enough. If it is a member on the sales forum who might be false advertising a watch (for example using someone else's pictures) or possibly listing a fake as a genuine, then a brief message indicating what evidence you have in the report post would be helpful. We have a great team here who keeps a close eye on things.
