Question How do you remove the AR coating?

    Hey guys,
I did a search, but wasn't getting lucky. So can someone tell me how to remove the AR coating on one of my watches?
Also, the watch has a PVD coating...do I have to be cautious as to not affecting the PVD coating when trying to remove the AR on the crystal?
    Thanks in advance guys! :thanks
    Cheers,
    Christopher

Re: How do you remove the AR coating?

Thanks for the link RJ. It's still a little unclear after reading through that post....a few different liquid solutions I guess I need to look into. I thought I had read about a specific cloth of some kind to remove the AR coating. I really do not want to mess up this watch as it's one of my favorites and I don't think I'd forgive myself for screwing it up! It's just that it has a black dial that appears mostly blue due to the AR coating.
    Any other thoughts on this?
    Cheers,
    Christopher

It depends on the hardness of the AR
you need to tape off any PVD or the cape cod will polish it
I removed the AR from a Damasko and the cape cod did NOTHING to it, I used diamond paste and a demel with soft pad
    Good luck
    be careful and go slow
