How much do scratches on a watch bug you?

Scratches on a watch bracelet don't bug me much. Scratches on the face of the watch can be annoying to me, though, even small ones. It may seem obsessive at times. What is normal for most people... do scratches matter to you?

It really depends on where they are. A scratch in the bezel will almost certainly get under my skin, and I won't be able to see anything else. On the crystal? Forget it!

I have been wearing a seiko kinetic auto-relay every day for 8 years, and the scratches in the crystal are finally bad enough for me to buy a couple more watches.
Speaking of that, is it possible to remove scratches from the crystal?? (it is a mineral crystal)

On a dress watch, any scratch, anywhere would bother me. Otherwise, not really.

Scratches don't bug me that much. Afterall, I am a fan of tool watches and thus expect to see some battle scars on my SEAL. If it gets to the point where I can't read the bezel then I'll have it refinished.

How are bezels refinished, do you need to take them somewhere? For scratches on the crystal, the whole crystal must be replaced, right?
