How Often Do You Wear Your Watches? Record Keeping

At the start of this year, I decided to keep records on how often I wear my watches. Everyday, I would jot down in my diary which watch I wore. I tend to wear one particular watch for a whole day. I've just tallied them up and wanted to share some fun facts with you guys: -

    From 1st January to 31st July 2014

    1. Breguet Type XX: 118 days (69.0%)
    2. Omega Constellation Quartz: 25 days (14.6%)
    3. Seiko Diver SKX007: 22 days (12.9%)
    4. Cross Palatino: 6 days (3.5%)

On some days when I stayed at home, I didn't wear a watch so that will account for the number of days of watch wearing not totalling with the number of days from January to July.

    Does anyone else keep records?

Yep - I've got a spreadsheet that keeps track with all kinds of useful stats (there's a thread in affordables called 'Monthly watch tally' or something similar).

The stats actually came in useful to confirm which watches I'm really not wearing much.

I have a rota whereby I wear one of my collection on alternate days (I strap the Oris ProDiver Date on between) but don't ask me how I know whose turn it is, I just do, so there is no need for me to keep a list.

I started rotating through my watches (7 in total, 6 in rotation) after I got the great idea from ilitig8. Haven't kept track of how many times I've worn each though. Just try to wear what I didn't wear yesterday.

I should do something like this. I kinda know, without keeping stats, but itll be good to see after a year, the exact number of days I wore specific watches.

    I wear one every day.
I have a summer and winter schedule, broken into 7 days a week. I follow that schedule.
There are more watches on the winter schedule because of straps and bracelets, summer is bracelets except Sunday is a strap watch.

Whoever is doing this kind of record keeping has way too much time on their hands!

It takes much longer to choose a watch, wind it, set the time and put it on than it does to record it.
