How pissed off should I be?

Bought an automatic watch from a member here on WUS for $330, paid an additional $15 for shipping. Watch arrived today flopping around loose in a flat envelope with the tiny bubbles on the inside. The only additional protection was a ....ing sandwich baggie.

Even for a $50 watch, I'd expect it to be in bubble wrap inside a box. It kinda feels like the guy I bought the watch from had the attitude of "It's not my watch any more, why should take even the smallest precautions to protect it?"

I'm pretty steamed at the way the watch (now my watch) was treated, and don't really know what kind of damage bouncing around loose in an envelope could have done to its internals. Am I right to be pissed?

    1. Does it run and keep time?
    2. Do all the complications work?
    3. Was there any cosmetic damage?
    4. What did the seller say when you described how the watch was packed?

Don’t blame you mate, it’s inexcusable,I’d be very angry. Poor packing is seriously lazy and when I sell a watch,I make sure it would survive a small explosion.

Yeah... that’s how I package straps... not watches.

As long as everything looks ok I guess you got lucky but I’d definitely drop a little hint to the seller.

First of all, how's the timekeeping and is there anything broken?

If there's problem, contact the seller and if necessary, tell his name in this discussion so other buyers beware if they ever buy from this particular seller

Just got it, so not sure how its keeping time yet. It is running, but I felt a little binding when setting it.

    Pics please.

I'd be pretty steamed but if it's working as described I say let it go. Let someone else have the heart attack.

Just noticed the envelope has a footprint on it.

Seller appears to have good feedback. Maybe contact him with your concerrns first before starting a thread about it.
