How would a coke ceramic gmt impact prices of the classic?

So I am expecting (hoping?) A steel ceramic coke gmt comes out soon and it got me thinking......what would it do to the prices of the classic cokes? Prices down due to people having a different option or trading up vs the new one causing increased overall interest in the style and driving prices up? They seem to be holding value quite well currently...

Most of the time, any re-release of a retired, limited/special edition piece, lowers the resale on the originals...often greatly. If there's only 500, EVER...the cachet of having one is higher than if there are 2500. And...once a second release has been made, can you trust that there won't be a third? At that point, is this a special edition...or just intermittent production, which can also *easily* be viewed as a crass marketing attempt to inflate the price?

I am sure there will be separate group split with their own feedback
as Far as i can see, this goes back to personal taste.
I myself dont bother with either style and am planning to have from both world

If it's SS then I would think it might decrease the classics value, if its in gold or platinum it might have the opposite effect.

The prices of Rolex only seem to go one way...up.

The Coke GMT is not a limited edition watch, it's just a model that Rolex have currently discontinued.

I doubt a new version would hurt the old one much. It's not like the black ceramic version made older black GMTs worthless.
