    I Don't Get Rubber Straps

I mean, who actually thinks they look good or offer advantages over bracelets or sail cloth for wet activities.
    You'll sweat under it too.
Why would one choose rubber over anything else.
They just look cheap to me.
The only reason I can see for choosing a rubber strap is that you absolutely LOVE the watch and it only comes on rubber.
(please, no flames, I'm merely expressing my opinion)

    Don’t like? Don’t buy.

Enjoy your sailcloth. Glad to have choices.

That's sailcloth pattern stamped leather, not actual sailcloth. Also, I had one once and I found it to be extremely stiff and uncomfortable.

I think Blancpain may sell a version of the Fifty Fathoms on real sailcloth. Not sure though.

so it seems that the OP has left us with the option of either using the bracelet on a watch, or paying god knows how much for a Blancpain sailcloth strap, instead of using a nice, quality Bonetto Cinturini or Barton rubber strap. Seems reasonable lol

You’re right, it’s YOUR opinion and you’re entitled to it. I, for one, do think they look good and offer a comfortable, waterproof and durable alternative to a bracelet or cloth/leather straps.
