For the entire weekend, I have looked at watches after watches online. And when I thought I wanted something, an hour later I don't want it any longer. My budget is limited so my options are not boundless. But shouldn't there be a watch out there that I must want?!!
I bought a dive watch not long ago but I feel I need a non dive watch to share my wrist time. This may sound like a rationalization to purchase a second watch but I know you understand. The reasons I started looking for the second watch are...
- There is no other person wearing a dive watch at work so people probably think I am a dive watch-kind-of-person by now. (Don't ask because I don't know what that means either and I don't know if they really think that.) I need to throw them off by wearing a different watch on random days.
- I wear a lab coat at work and the elastic cuff is a pain to deal with when I take the lab coat off because of the thickness of the dive watch.
The criteria I had in my mind while I was looking at the watches this weekend were...
#. Once again my budget is ~$500. $390 minimum. $700 maximum.
#. 41mm or smaller case.
#. eta 2824 or its variant is a plus. My dive watch has Miyota 9015.
#. Date would be nice to have.
#. And I would prefer 20mm lugs so that I can use the other straps I have bought for the other watch.
#. Nothing too dressy.
#. Screw down crown is a plus.
#. No dive watch.
If you want, make suggestions please.
