Rolling eyes I was going to keep this embarrassing moment to myself, but...

Lest anyone think I know what I'm talking about...

I've been doing some contract work with a guy the last couple of days, and he was wearing a nice looking diver. Slim profile, tasteful diameter, decent-looking bracelet, cyclops...
I was waiting for an opportunity to compliment him, maybe talk watches.

When the chance came, and I got a little closer I began to have my doubts, so I dialed it back from "nice Rollie" to a simple "nice watch."

The he showed it to me and it was...

...an Invicta! "Thanks," he said, "I got it for 80 bucks."

Best I could do was say "For that kind of money you can't go wrong."

Oh well, for $80 it's a decent looking watch!

That's funny. Similar situation happened to me when I was at an engagement party. The bartender was wearing a nice looking watch, and I kept trying to sneak a peak and finally saw the invicta logo. I was like, damnit! Invicta! Looked pretty nice with the lighting they had though.

Pretty sure it was something like this:

Ha ha, well, that's not nearly as bad if it were the other way around.
Him wearing a Rolex and you saying nice Invicta,....oh banish the thought.

kind of interesting-personally i have never handled one or witnessed a wearer of one - i understand that its good form on WUS to put them down [ probably right to do so ] , however a little disconcerting for you to be attracted to it before you saw the logo
