    I want a Rolex

Ok so I've been what I consider a WUS for about a year now. I've started a small, modest yet respectable collection of affordable watches. My collection, to me, is pretty impressive considering my youth (18 years old). I have University coming up and I already have money set aside for that and I have a stream of income allowing me to save as well spend towards my watch hobby. I really like the look of the black dial, no date submariner. I like the that it's a watch that is suitable for almost every occasion. I want to know, for future reference and saving purposes, what is the absolute cheapest I could get a black, no-date submariner for? I'd be willing to go used. I just really want this watch, it is certainly not my grail but it has grown on me tremendously and i think it would be an unbeatable watch for me to have forever. Even if it took three or four years of saving, It would make a great graduation present to myself.

    I think that's a good goal.

I'm now in my 40's and it's very hard for me to afford anything extra with the family and life on my shoulders, though I love being where I am.

Back in my 20's and even early 30's, I just didn't have the needs I do today, and had more extra money. I spent it on a lot of things, and many of which I still have today and am grateful for.

If I was into watches back then, I probably would have gotten myself a Rolex. I want one now, though it's going to take me a bit more to get one considering the circumstances.

How about you read some more.

Let me back track a little so I don't seem so offensive, I had my first child at 40.

More food for thought to the OP.

Get what you can afford. In your shoes, I'd be aiming for the current model, but that's considering my situation back then and where I'm at.

    I want a Rolex

Well I'm going to be needing a bracelet. I may try it on NATOs every now and then but I would want a bracelet.

    I want a Rolex

I feel like I'd almost have to wait until after school. A college campus is no place for a Rolex.
