    Ideas for a sub $1500 watch.

    I know that it's not much compared to a lot of watches out there, but I can almost justify that much. My tastes run a little eclectic. Some the ones that I've been looking at are:

    So many choices out there, but from what you presented, the Sinn chronograph (heavy duty) or the Mido panda chrono (super value) would be my picks.

    Take a look at other "Germans" Steinhart and Stowa or even Archimede.

    Check out Tissot. Out of all the brands you showed, Tissot would probably be better quality and longer-lasting.

    I was impressed with the Sinn UX hydro. The fluid filled dial has advantages and the watch is offered used within your budget from time to time.
    Resco Instruments is another maker worthy of checking out IMO.

    Maybe a pre-owned Grand Seiko or Sinn.

    The Mido you've shown is great. Since you're open to Germans, have a look at Muhle Glashutte, too:

    It may sound stupid, but I've always wanted something with a 7750. So i kind of think i should cross that of my list first. So I'm leaving that way.
