As the title says, and excluding the main time, day, and date functions, if you could pick only one, what would you have in one sub-dial?
GMT
Seconds hand
Chronograph
Alarm
Power reserve meter
Other (please comment!)

GMT hand should come out of the center (4th hand though)
Secons hand: Very common and gets my vote
Chronograph: At least the chrono I prefer must be Bi-compax
Alarm: hand out of the center for me
Power Reserve. If handwound - yes, if auto: no thank you
I'd like a subdial on my watch that can tell me how much time is left until the milk in my refridgerator expires. That way I wouldn't ever have to worry about sour milk in the morning since I'd know when to buy it just in the nick of time.
.... or leftovers. Ever wonder if that tupperware container of stew should be tossed or is still edible? That would be another great use for a subdial. Maybe you could have a selector underneath one of the lugs to switch from diary products to different types of meat. Yeah, that's the ticket!
A subseconds dial as long as it is not competing with any other complications, a movement cutout, escapement display or tourbillon.
I like tachymetres(maybe too complex with this chart, because it`s an add-on to a standard chronograph). It`s something simple, doing not so simple calculations. It just feels genius!
