I'm not really a Limited Edition kind of guy but

after I saw the Rado Captain Cook and the Longines Flagship Heritage I knew I had to have them. It's for my 60th birthday so I splurged and got them both. I was born in 1957 and so was the Longines I guess. On the Rado back it says One of 1,962 relating to the first year it was made. On the back of the Longines it has the actual number out of 1,957. I was lucky enought to get a very low number on the Longines but with the Rado you don't know because they all say One out of 1,962. Do you think these types of Limited Editions sell out? 1,962 and 1,957 are pretty low production numbers. The Rado is small so that may hurt sales but I really like it. The Longines is just stunning in it's own right. I'll try and get photos tomorrow of the two.

I'm sure some do, but I would imagine most don't.
I have 37/50 that I bought 5+ years ago, although it's a specific store model, there are still some left.

I don't think Rado is really common in the states so they may not sell well here. Also the size is going to hurt it. That's unfortunate because I thinks it's the nicest looking watch I own. I do wish they had put the actual number on the back like Longines did though.

Rado is the brand I see the most on Swiss wrists. For every Rolex I see at least 20 Rados.

I've actually started looking into the brand since I got the Captain Cook. I really like some of the others. That Diastar is interesting

    Love that Rado. Congrats.

I've had a couple of Diastar Originals too (among many other Rados). Great watches.

Thanks! I really like it and not bothered at all by the size and I have fairly large wrists. The Captain Cook led me to the brand and I'm very interested in the Diastar now. I wish the vintage market wasn't so scary, I would love to get into that aspect of Rado.

You need the 2017 Retro Trifecta. You have the Captain Cook and the Longines. Now you need the Hamilton Chrono 1968. Only 1968 pieces made, numbered individually on the case back, based on a model introduced in 1968. Not to mention that it is a stunning piece that earned my dollars.

The good thing about the vintage Rado market is that it’s pretty accessible. Lots of variety available for under a couple of hundred.

They produced an enormous number of different models over the years though, which can make spotting the fakes and frankens a little difficult at first, but there is so much cool stuff to choose from.

    Just a few I’ve had
