I'm a Sucker! (Bought from Omega boutique)

So I discover you guys AFTER I spent pretty good money buying a Seamaster Professional 11 days ago.
Paid the full retail price! (Yes, now I know I am the biggest loser).
I am happy with my watch (my first "luxury" watch) but I am unhappy knowing that I could have bought the same watch in the grey market at a way low price. Anyways, I am still thinking that I pay way to much but my question is
When would you absolutely go a pay retail for a watch??
Thank you and please cheer me up! Lol

As long as your happy about the watch, that is what counts most ! Welcome to the site and well......at least you can purchase additional watches through grey market sellers.

I've heard that the after-sale service from Omega's boutique is great. And that's what you would not get if you had purchased your watch from a grey market. I've even heard that in the US, if you go to a boutique to service your watch, the boutique will send your watch to a better service center than if you go to an AD.

Congrats for your new SMP! Pictures??

Congratulations on the Seamaster. Those are awesome watches.

That being said, I've never paid full retail and never would. The price difference is simply too big on mid-level and high-end watches. Plus, the selection on the gray market is outstanding.

Never. I usually buy pre-loved anyway. But if you like the boutique experience, then why not.

I have to say they treated me like royalty, and the sales associate .... She was pretty hot!
But I will prefer a lower price than the experience, hands down!

You should feel good knowing that you have factory warranty and a boutique who is there to stand behind the watch. If you need service, they handle it for you.

Of course you could have saved some money by going to an AD (still have warranty) or Grey Market (not the factory warranty)...but that doesn't matter at this point.

You got an excellent watch and should have the top level of customer service going forward. Just enjoy it to the fullest. (and post some pics)

Could you have saved money? Yes but at the end of the day ALL of us overpay for our "luxury" brand watches no matter how good of a discount we received. Enjoy your Omega
