    Impromptu AD outing

My wife was busy shopping so I decided to visit my nearest local AD. Just some eye candy I happen to notice nearby.

Oh boy, that 1815. Railtrack, blued lancine hands, arabic numerals. The ideal casual dress watch, it makes my heart go faster.

I've always been curious about guys' trips to dealers, what do you say to get them to let you try on all of those great watches? I found most dealers to be a little snobby. I once had a great experience at a Patek boutique. Told the guy flat out my wife would kill me if I ever bought one and they are more than a little out of reach. He didn't care, he was jazzed I was into collecting and we proceeded to try on every one for the next 4 hours together....fun time.

Believe it or not, the woman I dealt with at the AD told me that they would be willing to offer the following discounts: 12% discount for CC charges, 15% for checks and up to 20% discount for cash purchases. I was pretty impressed to say the least.

The woman I dealt with was absolutely gracious me throughout my visit and had even offered to escort me around to other watch displays so I guess it depends on the sales person.

LOL, sure was fun but I have to say that Blue Sub was very tempting. I know those A.L.&S. were beyond my reach at this time but that Blue Sub (btw not steel bracelet but white gold) well....irresistible.
