Question Incomplete lettering on Omega PO face

    Dear all,
I am the proud owner of an Omega Planet Ocean, and its accuracy is 2 secs per 24 hrs.
I recently studied the face through a loupe, and discovered that the 'A' in 'professional' is slightly incomplete.
Is this a warranty issue, or is this common? Please bear in mind that the horizontal line on the 'A' doesn't meet the right hand side completely. You can only see it under a magnifying glass.
    What to do?

If only recognisable when using a loupe then I don't think it is a warranty issue. It is poor QC from Omega though and I would be disappointed if they didn;t want to address the issue at no cost.

Without some pictures it's impossible to say. Can you post some?

On a side note It looks like you're copying the names of your watches into the message. Add them into your signature instead by clicking on the profile button up top.

This is why you don't analyze watches with a loupe !

But, I understand how you can't ignore it now that you've seen it. If you just bought this watch maybe the dealer will swap it for another. If you send it to omega service they probably wouldn't argue about replacing the dial, but you'll be without it for weeks.

Maybe they ran out of ink while printing the dial.

Nothing. Your watch is accurate to 2 seconds per day and you can only see this flaw under magnification. This is not a problem.

    Regards,
This sounds right to me. If it bothers you this much, contact Omega and see what they say. There is a decent change they would take care of the problem to avoid pics in forums like this one. Realistically, though, this may nit picking a bit, especially if you cannot see anything is out of order with the naked eye.
