    Hi,

I have been trying to do a bit of research into the above Ingersoll ladies watch. I see the gold case has the Birmingham hallmark date of 1965. I am just wondering how common a 17 jewel lever Ingersoll is? My research shows Ingersoll tended to cater for the cheaper market, with a lot of reference to pin lever/ 5 jewel lever / 7 jewel lever or 10 jewel lever Ingersoll pieces, but I can't find much reference to 17 jewel. Am I just not researching in the right place? Your knowledge is much appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Clare.

Don't know if it's rare for Ingersoll but most decently jeweled Swiss movements had 17 by the late 1940s - so I'm not surprised to see a jeweled lever like that from the 1960s.
