    Inherited some watches-need help identifying

    Hi all.

Im a watch newbie, having little knowledge of the fine art of horology.

I inherited a small watch collection from an uncle a short while ago, and was wondering if someone with more knowledge and experience in the field could indicate what models these are, and what their approximate market value might be. I would be very interested to know, and would greatly appreciate the effort.

    Best regards,

    Axel

Yeah, close up pics of each watch would make it a lot easier.

In the pic with 5 watches, the silver one that is upside down is an IWC Ingenieur - I think.

In the pic with 3 watches, the one with the "pepsi" bezel is a Rolex GMT Master - I am not WIS enough to tell if it is a I or II

Both very nice, we're not allowed to discuss appraisals here but a quick search of second-hand markets / e-bay should give you what you are looking for.

Top right pic is an Eterna - Quartz I think, gold plated,.
The Omega Constellation looks to be from early 70's. Bad, bad condition. Quartz ?
Middle left pic - from left - unknown, IWC Ingenieur, unknown, Cartier, the bottom one unknown

I am not sure why I am posting this, as you can read what it says on the dial with a greater ease than we can, as the pics are very out of focus!

Some watches seems to be of nice quality, but we can not say if they are Fakes, or real.
The condition overall is horrible. He was not a collector for sure!

    Better pic is a must!

The Omega Connie appears to be an 80s quartz. There's an Eterna at the top next to it. Looks from a similar era.
I could guess even more but pix are not good to offer better review. There could be fakes here.

    Either:

    a) You just got a set of watches you could trade for a decent car

    or

    b) Your uncle gave you a bunch of fakes

    or

    c) Mix of the two

Based on the fact that most people with genuine Cartiers don't let the second hands fall off, and I have never seen an Ingenieur with a 24-hour bezel, I'm gonna say option b. Maybe a little c.

    First pic: Omega Constellation quartz
    second pic: Eterna
third pic: can't see the first one. The second one is an IWC. The gold one looks like a rolex datejust, but the logo is suspicious(probably fake). Then you have a Cartier and the black leather one a Pater Phillipe.
fourth pic: Rolex GMT and the black bezel one is a Certina(maybe a DS action, not sure). third one-don't know.
    last pic: Casio Edifice

Hope this helps. Not sure if these are real though...

Thank you all for all your answers. As an horology ignoramus I greatly appreciate it.

I was not able to upload pics with more pixels, I had to make the quality poorer in order to upload them in the forum. How do you upload pics with higher quality here?

How can I tell if the Rolex GMT master I, Patek Phillippe (w/ black leather), or IWC are fakes? I have no papers, and it would not exactly surprise me if they indeed were fakes, but there should probably be some genuines there aswell.

    A.
