    Introduction and Question

    Hey everyone,

I am brand new to the forum. I was researching automatic watches with a rear display after having seen one in a catalog and this forum kept coming up. Well, a bit of research and I realized how useful this website really is.

I was initially looking at getting an Innerspace by Momentum and while researching through the forums, also saw the 2nd Generation Tissot Seastar 1000. These are definitely the styles I like (close to or under $1000, dive watches, domed sapphire, automatic mechanism and a nice rear display).

I really tried researching the forums and found a few that had information on just dive watches or watches around $500, etc. But I couldn't find anything that was:

    -close to or under $1000
    -A dive watch
    -Domed sapphire
    -Automatic mechanism
-Nice rear display (w/ 25 jewel mechanism, etc)

I'm hoping you guys may be able to provide some feedback for me. Perhaps a top 5 or top 10 that meet the above criteria. I wouldn't be opposed to buying used from a fellow forum member if the watch is in great shape :)

    Thanks,

    Adam

Welcome aboard. Are you wanting a "dive style" watch or a true, 200M+ diver? To ensure water resistance at depth, a display back is often sacrificed.

Thanks for the welcome. Good point, I am looking at a "dive style."

    Re: Introduction and Question

Welcome to the forum. One problem that you may run into on your quest is that many divers watches do not have an exhibition case back because of how it affects water resistance. A dive watch that I really like for around $1,000 and perhaps a bit less is the newer Seiko Titanium Samurai (not sure if that's the full name or nickname or whatever). Also, Oris makes some nice divers for around that price point, maybe a bit above it. Good luck on your search.

All those features will be hard to find at that price point.
Check out the Hamilton Scuba Auto (don't think the sapphire is domed)
Also, for just a little bit more, a Sinn 104

If you sacrifice the display back (counter-intuitive on a diver) you'll be open to more options.
    Good luck!

Check out the Kadloo Millenium, based on the watches you listed and what you're looking for, I think it may fit the bill.

Keep those fantastic suggestions coming guys.

Domo, the display back is a big + for me.

Mediocre, that Kadloo Millennium looks really nice and you really hit the nail on the head when you said, "it may fit the bill." It looks like it is discontinued. I like the black dial version.

This watch was the reason I joined WUS. Did a lot of research, saw one for sale here, and joined the site to buy it. Would highly recommend, if you can pull off a 44mm watch its a great value (pic borrowed)
