    Invicta and TSA

Yesterday, I was flying out of Fort Lauderdale airport going through security .
When I got to the TSA agent, I asked her if I needed to remove my watch before going through the machines.
"Only if it's an Invicta", she replied in all seriousness.
I laughed and asked her why, she was really nice and explained that some of them are so huge and bulky that they can't get clearance through the body scanning machines as opposed to "normal" watches.

So she couldn't see your watch? Is it as big as a Invicta?

They probably might have to rebalance the luggage hold to compensate for the weight, as well.

Since bronze is a "living" metal would they make you buy a extra ticket?

I've seen an Invicta set off every metal detector at a security checkpoint once

That's funny my case measures 43mm..the bezel just under 45mm.
Lots of divers are bigger, Seiko, a bunch of other brands too.

Perhaps Invicta have some secret alloy in their watches that sets off the detectors so that wearers can let everyone know they're wearing an Invicta.
