Issue with my brand new Seiki Astron ??

Hello, I just recently purchased a Seiko Astron and it seems to be keeping time perfectly but the second hand will just stop every day for some reason. The battery shows a full charge. If I pull out the crown and turn it a few times I can get the second hand to start ticking but later in the day it stops again. Any ideas?Attachment 12650377

When it stops is the phone in a dark location?

I assume you meant the watch, but no not always it happens randomly throughout the day. Some times it will go an entire day and then stop or other times I notice it has stopped after a few hours.
Notice the picture, it tends to stop right there most of the time.

Yes...the watch...my mistake. Something is not right. If it stops mostly in one place that may indicate a hand misalignment. Or something else. See if the dealer will just swap it for another. Otherwise send it in for service.
    Nice looking Astron.

If it in the warrantee, go to your dealer in hurry. You might get the new one or the worst case they might fix the movement.
My previous kinetic model was send back to sevice for three months. They change the new movement for me. And it run smoothly for 20 years.
    Goodluck.

I have the exact same model watch with the exact same problem including where the second hand sticks based on your picture! I purchased it a little more than four years ago and it happened within the first year. Seiko repaired it under warranty with no explanation as to the cause of the problem. Now a little over four years later it is happening again. I will be sending it in for an estimate to Seiko. Since your problem is EXACTLY the same one I am having it indicates to me that this is an engineering/manufacturing issue. I will let you know what their response is once I hear back from them.

If it was mine I'd leave it in the sun for a few days, it may just need a good charge. You can always send it back.

Contact customer service for seiko, they may have an answer. If not return and get the watch fixed.
