I've never been swimming with a watch before...

... but I did it today.

Pretty cool to test out the water resistance! But I'm not sure I'll do it much more... At the pool or beach is not the place to worry about the time! (Hope that's not too antithetical around here. )

Trust me, that watch is smiling inside...it could have gone down another 10 football fields!!! It is silently screaming "MORE, MORE, MORE and throw in some salt while you're at it"!!!

    ......must.........resist........

Seriously though. The "fear of water" is greatly exaggerated. I swim with any of my watches that are appropriated rated, wore my 16710 in a friends pool the other evening while imbibing too much.

Frankly, I'm more worried about the concrete and other scratching surfaces than the water at a pool.

As an aside I've been wanting a better dive watch, so I picked up a U1-T this summer and can't wait to bring it to Roatan with me in August. I'll take her as deep as I go.

You should go swimming with a girl instead. Much more entertaining interactivity.

The only watch I ever had that had a good (100m or above) water resistance rating but couldn't take it was a Swatch Scuba which leaked on 3rd dip. Only watch I ever threw away.

I wear my EFM-100 almost every time I go for a surf, although I haven't been in the surf for a few weeks, with it being midwinter and the water being bloody cold. What's the point of WR if you don't use it?

I can't stand swimming with a Nato Strap on. Just don't like the feel. Gotta be rubber, or steel for me.

The nato strap actually didn't bother me at all... seemed to be fine when wet, still comfortable.
