    Iwc 3706 Flieger help / Question …

I recently purchased a iwc 3706… i have looked around on internet and checked out similar iw3706 watches. And then i noted that on my dial i have 2 "T". Before and after the " swiss made" text. Some watches has is and some not
What does that indicate ? Good or bad ?

    Best regards /

Is the watch made before 1997? The T or T<25 marking is referring the tritium material used in the dial lume.

The newer "L" marking = superluminova

Hmm don't really know , the seller thought it was from 1997/1998 so it could be right then!

I have an 3706 incoming (actually waiting for me at home - can't wait to get home from this business trip!!) and agree with the explanation made by iam7head.

As to whether it is good or bad is (in my view) up to taste. Tritium can (as far as I know) discolor a bit with time, giving it a more vintage look, whereas superluminova does not have this discoloring.

If I am wrong I hope someone will correct me.
