IWC Pilot Mark XII vs Grand Seiko SBGW031

Hi guys, I am thinking of getting either the above IWC or the GS SBGW031 for laid-back/casual wearing, will be purchasing a pre-owned copy of either. The main reasons I am attracted to these two watches are the small size 36mm/37mm, manual winding/supposedly superb finishing on the GS, and for the IWC, the history and JLC movement in the Mark XII. I have done some research on the prices and the price of a pre-owned Mark XII is around US$750 more than the GS.

Which one do you think I should get and why?

    1) IWC

    2) GS

IWC gets my vote...I am not an anti GS guy at all, but I would generally choose IWC over just about anything

I think the IWC would be better suited to casual wear.

Out of those 2 the IWC, I can't believe I am going against a GS

    IWC . . . I've used the GS as a dress watch

If it were any of the Marks from the XV forward, it would be a much more difficult decision for me (and I have a Mark XV). But in this case the Mark XII would be my choice.

As an aside, Mark XII's seem to be increasing in value as of late.

Not a fan of pilots so by default it has to be GS...but something tells me you might be happier with the IWC.
