Jumbo Sea And Land Rescue 300 revisited

I always thought that the Marathon is one of the toughest watches around and it is also pretty large and hefty, has a nice wrist presence but does not cost an arm and a leg. Of course one might not consider it beautiful with the corn dogs hands so I handled that some time ago by installing some original Omega Planet Ocean hands. The Planet Ocean has always been one of my favorite watches but alas the sticker price is way over my availability of funds for such things. Originally I had installed another seconds hand but now I was able to get a original Omega Aqua Terra hand which has the lume dot on it and is nicely shaped that finally brought that project to completion.

This is a watch that stands on its own and one of my all time favorite for sure. This sits alongside my other two in he watch box and have assumed the keeper role. Yeah, I like them that much.

I hope you enjoy my poorly shot photos.

The PO hands look surprisingly good! Looks stock, even.

The PO hands look great on that one. Congrats on running your new Marathon!

Thank you and that was exactly my idea, to make a watch that looked stock rather then an assembly of parts. It took a bit a research and a little luck to be able to get these parts and make it work.
