Just came back from an AD...narrowed my choices

    Hey guys!!

Just want to give you guys an update :).

My parents said that they are willing to get either these because of the price range:

    1) superocean breitling
    2) superocean steelfish breitling
    3) 2254.50 omega

I tried on the superocean and really liked the size and the heft of it. The only thing is that, you guys are right, the bracelet is really shiny, and i heard it will show scratches a lot easier.

I tried the steelfish, I like the less busy dial, but it is a little bit heavier than the superocean. I like the face a lot, but I want this watch to be "in style" for the rest of my life...and I wonder if it is just too hefty for my ~6.0-6.4 wrist. It looked great though.

I tried on the new version of the 2254, and man, i thought the omega was plain from the pictures, but it looked nice. I can only imagine what the 2254 would look on me.

But being almost 21, I like a watch that doesnt look like other watches...like the omega looks a bit plain to the breitling.

Any opinions from you guys after narrowing it down to this? I thought i would love the bling of the superocean, but just worried that i would get sick of it, or get sick of the scratches that can show up much easier with it.
I also like the omega name since it seems to be more widely known.

Sorry for all these questions guys, im just want to find the perfect watch among these three since this will probably my only nice watch for a long time :)

the average breitling is quite large for a 6" wrist IMO. I think you should stick to 40mm and less... superocean heritage 38? definately some "bling" factor with mesh band. I think that would fit you well.

I kind of like the bigger watches. I guess i am in the "younger crowd" since i like bigger watches. My wrist is about ~6.3 or so.

The PO is out of the budget :/

    Another vote:

I love mine...it's certainly a classic that will never go out of style.

Did you try on the new superocean or the old one?

If I were you, id pick the superocean. You mentioned in the other post that you want something flashy, and that would be the one. The bracelet does scratch easier than a brushed finish, but they are easy to polish out. I polish mine maybe once every month or two and it shines like new. It also sounds like its a nice fit for your wrist.

Again though, this is coming from a biased source. the best advice is to get the one that makes you the happiest. All three come from prestigious makers and will probably last as long as you choose to take care of them. There has to be one that deep down you really like the most. Get that one. Youll definitely regret it later on if you dont.

I tried the old superocean (which i like the face better on that one).

The new and old one both have the same specs for weights right?

I just dont want to get sick of the flashiness, i noticed that it is quite shiny. I like the flashiness, but is it too much? The steelfish is nice, and i like the cleaner face, except it may be a bit heavy for my ~6.3 wrist. I feel that the superocean fits me best and so does the omega seamaster (eventhough i tried the new bond one, not the 2450.50)

I really like the design of the breitling but the name of the Omega. :/

If you like the superocean go with it. If there is a hair of doubt about bling, go with the 2254, that watch is a classic.

Bling is all good when you are young and trying to impress people. Just remember who you are is not the watch you wear.
