Ladies Mondaine Evo replacing back cover

I've just replaced the battery on this watch and for the first time having done many battery replacements on other watches I can't get the back cover back on this watch. If I didn't know better I'd swear this cover belonged to another watch and someone switched them when I wasn't looking. Is it supposed to be this difficult with a press fit back. Usually it's just a case of applying a bit of pressure but in this case the pressure required I'm afraid of applying and damaging the watch. And of course as I'm struggling with it I'm also worried that the back cover will end up out of alignment with the winder.

Anyone have any experience with these watches?

Yes, I had the same problem with the man's version of the Mondaine. It does go, eventually, it just takes a lot of perseverance!
If it's really not going to go manually, you'll need one of these:

I had the same problem with my Raketa Big Zero. That press made everything much easier and they're pretty cheap online

Thank you guys, yes I thought I was going to have to go down this route I guess I just needed that final bit of guidance.

Incidentally I presume the watch press comes with moulds which when the press is used it will avoid putting pressure on the glass when pressing down?
