Left the house w/o a watch? No, but I just....

    ...tried to put two on...

Had a Seamaster on this morning, switched it for a 656L to take a quick picture for the white faced watches thread. Couple hours later, I'm about to take the hound for a walk, the 656L is under a cuff, I walk by the Omega and think "huh, that's strange..."

So I try to put it on... It doesn't go smoothly.

    Ever done THAT?

Back in '88 I used to rock two or three watches at a time...does that count?

Just trying to think how you could get away with that without being mocked. Maybe an alarm watch and a chronograph? Both functional so it could be sort of justified. It might have worked better in '68 than '88 though, before the advent of digital watches...

Mocked? Shoo... Nobody mocked R.959...cause I knew what time it was...in three different time zones it would appear.

Funny thing is, back in...... '86-ish? Grade school, anyway, I lived in a small resort town, and I remember one of the department stores (it was all one department really - the "crap" department) got these neon rubber digital jobs at a price we could afford. So we bought them. And wore them. And eventually got to wearing them all at once........

In retrospect, that MAY have been the seeds of all THIS madness. If I recall correctly, my latest find totalled up to abou 3500x what a NIB one of those neon pieces cost, undoubtedly keeps less accurate time, AND I don't even get an allowance any more!!
