Exclamation Let's hear it for quartz!

Like many of you, I was once a quartz hater. But over the last year I've come to appreciate them for their features, accuracy, and the technology itself. If you used to depise quartz but are now coming around, or if you've always been a quartz tech-junkie, post your favourite quartz (or quartzes) from your collection.

I only own 1 quartz watch. It has Tritium H3 tube illumination & it stays in my Bug Out Bag.When it comes to having the peace of mind knowing that you've got 1 watch that is always running(at least as long as the batteries good)it's the only way to go.

One of the reasons this forum is the best is its very wide cross section of watch appreciation and absence of anti-quartz snobbery.

I have a Seiko 7546 caliber very much like this one:

33 years old and running +-/10 sec. a month. I almost prefer to wear this one all the time due to its amazing accuracy and very clear time/date visibility. One thing that just sort of pisses me off about the Rolex is the fish eye date. I'm beginning to hate it. I just love watches that are very honest about telling you the time!

1981 Omega quartz given to me by my employer when I visited the head office in Geneva. It's still running great and all I've ever done is change the battery as needed.

I was a Quartz lover - mechanical hater till I joined WUS! Now I have quite a few mechanicals, but my first love is still quartz. Here are a few of mine:

The last one is a Timex.
