    Longines-Conquest vs Raymond Weil-Freelancer

I would like to choose a watch between Longines-Conquest and Raymond weil-Freelancer. Please give your suggestions. Longines costs around 1050 USD and Raymond weil around 1630 USD.

I own a RW Nabucco and think it's one of the most well made watches I've ever owned. It meet or exceeds the quality of every Omega, Tag, or Breitling I've handled. The Freelancer is great and the Freelancer chrono is on my short list. Just a spectacular watch.

Longines also makes a great bang-for-the-buck watch. But I prefer their Hydroconquest over the conquest. Between these two, the Freelancer is the better watch. However, RW has a stigma of being a 'fashion brand' while Longines gets a ton of love around here.

If you want to seem more WIS, get the Longines. If you want a better watch, get the RW.

I def dislike this open date window than the PR on dial.
It is foolish unnecessary design move that they open the date window up trying to be different than traditional, then people get confused visually....then they had to add additional element, red triangle, to clear the confusion.....errr...

I own a Freelancer, it's a great watch. I'm going to go put it on right now actually.

I also own a Longines Master collection. They're both good watches, both ETA movements. Longines however has a lot more history than RW.

My one regret about my Freelancer is I didn't get the chrono.

In most cases, history doesn't mean squat.
