    Longines hydro Conquest

    Hello All,
New to the forum.. Where does Longines line up in comparison to Tag aquaracer and Omega SMP auto?

    Re: Longines hydro Conquest

    Hi, and welcome!

In my opinion, Longines produces beautiful watches that are very rightly priced right now.

Expect the brand to be "pushed higher" by the Swatch Group (parent company of Omega, Tissot, Longines and a host of other brands, including yes, Swatch); as a result, their prices will go up with time, approaching today's TAG.

I believe Tissot will also be pushed up and have prices similar to today's Longines (while Omega is positioned in Rolex's space, price wise - unfortunately).

However, right now, Longines has to be considered the third brand, after Omega (first), then TAG (very close second). Not to say the quality is inferior, it's the brand positioning. The finishing can be also said to be a little simpler than TAG and Omega. Other technical details can be also found of slightly lower caliber.

This is all my opinion, born of my observations. Hope it helps!

Moved from "Reviews" to the Public Forum. Definitely not a post for our "Review" section.

Just my opinion, but I find the Longines and Aquaracer preferable to the SMP's look.
