Longines hydroconquest black vs cream dial choice

    Hi all,
I am looking into buying one of these two but I am undecided, any opinions about these colours in terms of versatility of use with different outfits or any other consideration beyond the simple "I prefer black (or cream)"?
    Thanks!

Don't think I care for the cream. It could just be the picture so I would recommend you check them out in person. I have the new dial Blue. It was a close call between it and the red. To me the black seems like a waste almost. There are plenty of black dial divers to choose from. Oris would be a good option. Though I can't knock it if you want to stick to the Hydro. The build quality is excellent. I enjoy wearing mine more than my SMP by quite a bit.

Personally, I think the cream gives you a bit more versatility. I'd love to see it on a "rugged", brown leather-strap. I think it would also dress-up on black leather. Yeah, I know the same can be said for the black dial...but my nod still goes to the cream. it just has a more "distinguished" look to it - elegant and casual at the same time.

Edit: just noticed the pics are from Topper, so I'll take a moment to throw out a recommendation. Great service, great pricing (doesn't hurt to mention the forum) and quick shipping. Bought my Aquis from them.

I like the color contrast the cream dial/black bezel offers. I know it wouldn't be the only watch model with that color scheme but it looks more unique than the countless other black dial/black bezel pieces out there . . .

In my opinion, the black is more classic. It's definitely more legible.

It looks 357X better in black.

I've the same dilemma when choosing between these 2. When I got to see both at an AD, the black has its nose just in front in the looks department as I tend to prefer black dial watches.

Eventually, I settled for the Off-White Dial (or cream) as it better compliments my Legend Diver. I do not regret my decision one bit.

However, whenever I come across this pic from a fellow member (citizendive77), I wondered what could have been :P

I think black works better between these two. It's a sporty watch and black offers bit more contrast and masculinity :)
