    Looking for a $1500 watch.

Hello my friends: I have learn so much from all of you since I found this forum. I never thought I could buy an used watch and now I have two of my favorite thanks to all of you. My wife is going to buy me a nice watch for Christmas for around $1500, so I ask all of you for a little help finding my next watch. I have a few in mind but don't know is I can get them in my price range. I don't mind if is used but have to be in good to excellent condition. Here is the list in order of preference. 1. Omega Planet Ocean 45.5 in orange 2. Anonimo Militare 3. Doxa 4. Fortis Chrono 5. Breitling Avenger Maybe I'm aiming too high, but don't know the used prices of any of those. If you know other watch that I should an to my list, please feel free to let me know. Thanks Diego

At $1500, with a little patience you should be able to pick up either an Anonimo Militare or a Fortis B42 Flieger Chronograph on ebay in good condition (LNIB or gently loved). Both are awesome watches. Good luck!

For 1500, out of your list, I'd get the Doxa. I've had all the watches on your list except for the Anonimo, and only have the B'ling and Doxa left. You can't get a chrono avenger for 1500 and you can get a new or nearly new Doxa for that amount.

If you want to spend a bit more, I'd say the Omega PO. I've had three (two 42's and one 45). They are all gone, but only due to my stupidity.

    Good luck!!

Oh, and I would seriously consider a Sinn U1 in that price range.

I could mention about 20/30 watches but...hey.... why not buying the Wristwatch Annual 2010 and narrow down to a watch you fall in love with in a heartbeat?

Out of the ones you mentioned, I'd pick the Fortis. But that's just me.

Sinn U1, and you're done. Out of your choices, the PO-but you're going to have to spend a little more than $1500.

yea. but the problem is it'll probably take a couple more 1500's just to buy that heartbeat.
