Looking for a great investment watch

I have a budget of up to £1500. I will save up more if something I really want comes along but I want something that would at least hold it's value. I like ball watches but I'm wondering if there are any similar styles and brands I should be looking at?

If you want something that will at least hold its value, you probably don't want to buy a watch

    Welcome to WUS!

Here's some rule when it comes to watch and holding value :

    1. Watches are terrible at holding it's value.
    2. Even Rolex is not spared from this. They lose value at a slower rate compared to other brand, but still terrible at holding their value.
    3. Watches are as good as an investment like the VHS Version of Pulp Fiction with Director's Cut.

For your budget, I'd rather you go with that you like. Watches are consumable purchases. Whenever you purchase it, you're ready to lose that amount forever. Being too obsessed with holding value ability stops you from choosing what sings to you.

If you like ball watches then you should buy one. If you want to invest your money in something that will increase in value you should explore other options because buying a watch for that reason is not a very good decision.

A £1,500 watch will not be an investment or even hold its value. It's just that some watches loose value faster than others.

Invest in a Standard & Poors INDEX Mutual Fund for 10 years and "watch" it as an investment. Buy a cool watch and wear it for the joy it brings you.

Thank you. That's what I'm looking for really something that at least won't bomb down in price. It is not like I plan on buying something that I will want to sell. But I'm wondering what other options there are?
