Looking for a new watch - Day Date 7750 - Need suggestions

    Hi All,

    Happy New Year.

Need your suggestions for a reliable daily beater. A dive 7750 with day date perhaps

Ideally a 7750 movement (with day/date) with a dive bezel and no need for a tachymeter.
Something that wears big on the wrist 42mm and beyond
And a watch that is really tough. I already have seiko but love my swiss collection!
Would love to be able to spend on a IWC aquatimer but will have to settle for something that is a lot cheaper. Under a $1000 either preowned or new. Would not mind a boutique brand. But a watch that is reliable, shows day and date with a chrono and dive bezel.

Any suggestions? Would love to hear from you all.

EDIT: Flexible with cost. Can always move another piece if this talks to me!

    Thanks

Bulova used to make the Accutron VX-200 Chronograph which was under your budget, maybe they are still out there? I'm not sure what else is around at the entry level. I'd be tempted to save a bit more and look for a used Damasko DC66 or maybe a Marathon CSAR.

I would try to get a market overview on ebay first.. There are many brands with no big name that put 7750s in a diver's case. Among the more prominent ones, have a look at the Certina DS 3 chrono or Revue Thommen, they are over your budget but often heavily discounted. Apart from that brands like Phillip Watch, Chenevard or Invicta cross my mind..

Or maybe the UHR-461 is just what you are looking for:
