Lost package what to do next?

Been on this forum and bought and sold a bunch. I just completed a transaction on Saturday and the buyer was going on vacation at end of week. I shipped by priority on Monday and it shows it was delivered today at 4:00. The buyer says it's nowhere to be found but the tracking number shows it was delivered. How do I proceed from here?

    Thanks in advance

If it was shipped USPS, it'll almost certainly show up tomorrow -- this happens all the time. If it was a courier, contact the courier.

Had same issue with USPS this week.....tracking on the web showed it delivered and picked up Monday. Recipient found it today (Wed.) at the Post Office, fortunately.

Wait at least a week. If it is still not found try to file a claim with USPS. At the end of day if it says delivered it is out of your hands.

Did the buyer sign for the package?
    Did you buy insurance?

    If not why not?

If it's signed as received, technically, you are no longer responsible. What you can do is file a claim with the carrier if it doesn't show up, but not much more.

Damn this happens too much. It sounds like it is a USPS SOP!

There is another thread almost exactly on this topic.

Wait to see if it shows up tomorrow, otherwise buyer should contact the carrier.

He didn't say it was signed for or had signature required.
