    Lume fell off Marathon

The 12 o'clock orange lume triangle on my bezle fell off my Marathon GSAR a few weeks ago.

Any suggestions on who could put a new one on? It was a second hand watch, private sale, so no warranty.

Not really concerned with it being exactly the same, it's just obviously missing something and you can't tell where the top of the bezel is without looking at it for a second.

From what I’ve read (dependent on the watches production date) there are two types/styles of 12 o’clock positioned lumed pips or triangles on a Marathon's bezel. One is a sticker (which if I'm not mistaken, you can buy a few of these stickers to keep on hand as back-ups) and in later production models the pip has a pin on it to secure it to the bezel.

Unless one of the guys/gals chimes in who knows the contact info for the watchmaker who does their warranty work. I’d contact either the following two seller's,

GSAR Marathon Watch w/ Tritium (countrycomm) or .....

    Military Watches (broadarrow)

....which I’m sure they'll be more then happy to help you or at the least, point you in the right direction.

    Good Luck,

    Pops

PS I saw a photo where one of the guys painted his with some lume and another where he painted it in with red paint.

I have an old JLC with the lume falling off. Googling found numerous threads around the net about lume coming off luxury brands, but I've never seen it on a Timex, pre-Indiglo of course (???).

Horrible, not sure how that might be repaired. Contact Marathon direct, it can't be the first time this has happened. See if they offer a reasonably priced solition. Good luck.

Wasn't saying that... just that when looking I found accounts of lume falling off from(as well as on my JLC) , brands like Rolex, Omega, etc, but I've never witnessed it or heard of it on Timex or others in the, say, sub $50 range.

To be clear, I am putting Marathon on the high side of that line.

To be clear, you bumped a 7 year old thread for a non sequitur. If you read the op you'll see it's about a bezel issue, not lume on a dial.

Nice. So you like Timex I'd presume. I don't even know why I posted to this.
