    Marathon Jumbo "300" - 5th generation?

This project started many months ago when I first thought that this combination would be a good one for me. However it was delayed due to the usual reason, funds. At one point a couple of months ago though, I decided to liquidate some of the watches I was not wearing, got a bit of cash and got one JSAR. I liked it so much that I sold a and traded more watches I was not wearing for two more.

When I got these I had already planned out this project but delayed it because it turned out that the original corn dog shaped hands were not that bad after all and I was not much in a mood to open up these watches... so I kind of stalled this for a bit. Then I decided that it was actually a positive thing because I did not need 3 watches looking the same so I could keep one all stock and make the other two a little different by changing the hands – which is the easier modification to do.

These are original Omega Planet Ocean hands, I had ordered the original seconds hand too but the cylinder attached to the hand was just too large for the seconds hand post of the movement and therefore I resorted to a simple chrome hand as you can see in the pictures.

The other project I called Jumbo Navy because it resemble a pilot watch a bit, this one could be simply called “300” because it is a 300m diver. I don’t know about you but I really like the result, even though my pics are not quite up to show it.

I shared photos of the other two already but now I can finally share some of this version. JSAR generation 5 maybe?

I like it but as a PO owner I'm probably biased.

I like it a lot, but I like the other one the best, the one all the way to the right.
    TAG Heuer Monaco LE|Omega Speedmaster|Seamaster 300MC|Rolex Submariner|Tudor Ranger

How did it get so late so soon?

Nice set. You've got JSARs with enough different hands to cover any occasion.
