Maurice Lacroix el1098 - chrono stuck

    Hi all,

My 1,5 year ML chrono got stuck at 2 o'clock. Anyone knows what can be the reason. Cannot find anything in the manual.

Can I reset it? Or just give it for

What you mean by got stuck at the 2 o'clock position?

    The watch stopped working?

Maybe a new battery is needed?

It works as normal actually but it looks like the starting point moved from 12 a.m. to 2 o'clock.

When I start the chrono it works as usual, and after resetting it just returns to 2 o'clock instead of 12 a.m.

Sorry for the inaccurate description. English is not my mother tongue

Consult a watchmaker (depending how much you like the watch).

If it were my watch I would open the case (there are cheap case openers on ebay) and pop out the battery to only later pop it back in again to check if that would solve the problem.

    Or maybe a new battery.

Please don't offer guidance that is wasteful and inapplicable. Clearly you know it's a quartz watch... Quartz chronos have reset functions. Taking to watchmaker or resetting battery is silly.

Some quartz chronographs have slightly different solutions to this issue, but almost all can be zeroed-out or reset. ML owners manual should include the instructions as well.

Obviously resetting doesn't work in his case (okay good no one knows what he means by resetting).

And he also wrote: Cannot find anything in the manual.

I was wrong about nearly everything.

Maybe this will help some other people with same issue:

    1. ML Chrono comes with two manuals - one is like a general overview and short introduction to functions. Like a starter manual for many devices. There is nothing about this issue.

There is a second manual and its more detailed and it does have a section - placing the chrono hands in zero position.

I just did not remember I had a 2nd manual in the box (found it while looking for the warranty)

    2. How to fix it:

    - pull the crown to the last position
    - press two buttons of the chrono simultaneously for 2 seconds and the chrono hand will turn 360 degrees. Now it's in correction mode
    - press the start/stop once and move the hand 1 minute forward
    - place.the hand in correct position
    - push the crown

    DONE

Thanks everyone for taking your time to comment this post. Excuse my silliness and stupid question while assuring that I checked the manual which is obviously not true.

Anyway - maybe some1 is has same issue and lost the manual.

I love this watch, it matches most of my work outfits and it would be a pitty if broken.

Thats how it was described in the link I provided. Sounds like a typical Swiss quartz chrono. Good that you got it working.
