    Maurice Lacroix Pontos

Hi been on wus a few times but first time ever posting.
Quick question I recently purchased a Maurice lacroix pontos chrono titanium. However the tick/tock sound has an echo!! Has anyone come across this before.
I'm slightly worried as a friend has a fake tag and it sounds the same!!!

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Pictures?

Where did you buy it from? Surely they can authenticate it?

Then it won't be fake. They'll be able to sort any issues with the watch.

Fredmans or the shop in the QVB?

The chrono is either based on the Valjoux or the Valgranges movement which are known for the weird sound they make if you are not used to them.

Besides the movement, it is also quite a thick case which can cause an echo effect. Despite having movements very similar to one another both my MLs have a slightly different movement sound.

The first question is how familiar you are with mechanical watch sounds.

Yeah if you bought it at an AD it's definitely not fake. Take it in to them and tell them what you're telling us and have them check it out. If there's anything wrong they should rectify the situation. It may just be a loud watch though!

Cheers for the info guys. I'm not sure if I should mention the shop I purchased it from don't want to give em a bad rap, purchased a few watches from them.
I'm very well acquainted with mechanical movements, have two other watches with the 7750 and neither movement have this sound. None of my autos do, but just thought I'd ask if this is something specific to ML.
Will post on Saturday after I see the guys.
    Cheers
