Which mid range GMT to choose?

Hi guys, i am thinking to buy Glycine Airman 18(39mm gmt) or Longines VHP GMT? Like my holiday all arounder travel watch. perhaps glycine bit cheaper 150€ and automatic SW300-1 movement. Can i swim with longines 50m water resistance? which is going to have better resale maybe dow the road? Thanks :)

I know it's a lot more than the recommended retail price of the ones you are looking at but arguably the hottest midrange GMT right now is the Tudor Pepsi GMT that was released this year. You can comfortably go swimming with it (200m water resistance) and I think in the long run it will have more milage.

I agree, save up for the Tudor. They are getting in stock everywhere so in a little while you can probably start getting a discount.

At around $2500 you'd get a very nice second hand Breitling Avenger II GMT.

The new Alpina Startimer GMT heritage looks pretty amazing- true GMT function (jumping 12 hour hand) and 70s cushion styling for about $1000 msrp. My only question is whether the 42mm will wear too big. They have them at Gnomon but I understand they are no longer exclusive and should be available at all ADs.

I think the new Longines VHP GMT looks pretty sharp with the blue dial.

The Longines VHP GMT is good-looking, so is the Conquest GMT, but the crown guards in both cases (pun not intended) ruin it a bit for me. The Glycine is also a looker.

    Let's have some pics!

I’m not sure what sort of ‘mid-range’ $15k is!

    But here’s mine!

I’ve heard rather a lot about the Monta watches Skyquest. The bracelet is certainly superb — probably the best on the market — and I rather liked the kinked gmt hand.

The Alpina 4 is big on my radar — especially the ‘pepsi’ version; the new Heritage is nice too (if you like that case style).

I bought a Tudor Gmt and flipped it within a week. I couldn’t get the damn thing to fit well at all. It seems they’re much more comfortable on smaller wrists — something to do with the bracelet fit, I think.

I must comment, though, if you do go that way, buy the bracelet and then buy the leatherstrap; wear it on the leather , sell it on the bracelet.
